Builds endurance toward a 35-metre swim, 4 x 15-metre repeats, two minutes of treading water and 75-metre kicking, plus an introduction to the breaststroke kick. Swimmers bring their own fins to every class; on classes 2, 4 and 6 they wear a short-sleeve shirt and light shorts over their swimsuit to practise a safety skill. Prerequisite: age 5 before the first class and Bronze level or equivalent skills.
